[Review] SK - Polo

I always like hearing someone's backstory. Not just that but hearing about multi-talented people. So when hearing Bronx-based NJ native, ‘SK’ is a singer, writer, rapper, guitarist, engineer and producer I was intrigued.
(Essince fun fact: SK played acoustic open mics 4 to 5 nights a week in Boston and was the lead guitarist in an old school funk/R&B band. I'd love to hear that!)

She went to MIT, studied math, and was an All-American athlete but switched focus to music after a few surgeries. Which is rough but glad she found another outlet for her energy. But sports appreciation is a lifelong trait (as some of you know I now own a professional basketball team. We sponsored an AAU tournament today and seeing all the kids playing reminded me of my AAU days.

But back to SK, Her new single “Polo” is a great example of her balanced influences. First listen I wasn't sure what I thought but after giving it a few more listens and particularly to her delivery and rhyme scheme it really grew on me. Making a commercially appealing song isn't easy. Oftentimes it comes off Forced. But I like "Polo". SK has a nice voice and her delivery is on point as is wordplay. Give it a listen/view below and let me know what you think!
